Is in-home pet sitting better than boarding?
For many pets, yes. Staying home keeps them in familiar surroundings, on their usual food and medication schedule, and away from other animals' germs. Pets that get nervous with visitors may need a different plan, which we can talk through at your meet-and-greet.
How long is a pet sitting visit?
Visits are 15, 25, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and we also offer overnight stays from 9:30pm to 6:30am.
How much does pet sitting cost in Austin?
Visits start at $32 for 15 minutes and go up to $67 for 60 minutes. Overnight stays are $125. Prices include all pets in your home and medication. Short notice, peak and holiday fees may apply.
Do you charge extra for multiple pets?
No. Prices are based on visit length, so every pet in your home is included.There is no limit on the number of pets.
Can I meet my sitter before I book?
Yes. Every booking starts with an intro call and a free meet-and-greet in your home to review care instructions and home access.
Are your sitters background checked, insured and bonded?
Yes. Every sitter is background checked, trained and vetted, and our team is insured, bonded and CPR certified.
What happens if my pet has an emergency?
We contact you or your emergency contact in Time To Pet first. If we cannot reach you in time, we take your pet to your regular vet or the nearest animal hospital. Emergency vet costs are paid by the pet owner.
How will I know how my pet is doing?
You get photos and notes after every visit through the Time To Pet app.
Can you give my pet medication?
Yes. We give pills, liquids and other medication as instructed, at no extra cost.
What pets do you care for?
Dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and other small pets, including pets with special needs.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend at least 7 days ahead, especially around holidays and busy Austin dates like SXSW, ACL and Formula 1. Bookings made with less notice may be possible with a short notice fee.
