What Are the Average Drop-in Visit Prices for Pets in Austin?

A drop in visit costs $32 for 15 minutes and up to $67 for an hour. Choose the length based on what your pet needs each visit.

• 15 minutes ($32): potty break, fresh water and a meal.

• 25 to 30 minutes ($38 to $40): feeding, cleanup, medication and play.

• 45 to 60 minutes ($54 to $67): a longer walk, a high energy dog, or several pets with separate routines.

Some pets have minimums. Crated dogs need two 15 minute visits and one 30 minute visit every day. Cats need at least one 15 minute visit every other day.

How Does Austin's Climate and Seasonal Events Impact Costs?

Austin's weather does not change our prices, and there is no weather fee. Austin's big event weekends do. Festival weekends like SXSW, ACL and Formula 1 are peak dates, which add $12 per visit.

Weather can still shift your pet's care plan. In summer, you can book walks as early as 6:30am or in the evening up to 9:30pm to avoid the midday heat. Before a summer walk, emergency vets suggest holding the back of your hand on the pavement for seven seconds. If it is too hot for your hand, it is too hot for paws (Vets Now). In severe weather, your sitter uses their best judgment to keep your pet safe.

What Additional Fees Should You Expect for Pet Sitting in Austin?

The extra fees are short notice fees, peak and holiday fees, and a key pickup fee. Short notice fees can stack with peak or holiday fees.

Holiday visits are not refundable, so confirm your travel dates before you book.

How Much Do Medication and Specialized Pet Care Services Add to Your Costs?

Nothing extra. Medication and special care are included in every visit price. Your sitter gives pills, liquids and topical treatments exactly as your vet instructs, plus injections for dogs.

Pets with special needs are welcome. Only visit length changes the cost. A 30 minute visit is $40 and a 45 minute visit is $54.

Before you leave, the American Kennel Club suggests leaving enough medication for the whole trip, writing out dosing directions, storing it out of reach, and showing your sitter how to give each dose (AKC).

What Are the Multi-Pet and Exotic Animal Surcharges in Austin?

What Is the Cost Impact During Major Austin Events Like SXSW and ACL?

Major event weekends are peak dates, so each visit costs $12 more. In 2026 that included SXSW and spring break (March 13 to 22), both ACL weekends in October, and Formula 1 weekend (October 23 to 25).

Book at least 7 days ahead for these weekends so a short notice fee does not stack on the peak fee.

How Much Do Holiday Surcharges Increase Pet Sitting Rates?

A holiday fee adds $20 per visit, about 30% to 63% more depending on visit length. A peak fee adds $12.

Example: Thanksgiving Day, two 30 minute visits. Each visit is $40 plus $20, so the day costs $120. Booked less than 7 days ahead, each visit adds $12 more, and the day costs $144. Your quote in Time To Pet is the final price.

Before you leave for the holidays:

• Book at least 7 days before your first visit.

• Set up a lockbox, or plan for the $25 key pickup fee.

• Make sure your pet's rabies vaccine is current.

• Leave your itinerary, emergency contacts and your vet's details (ASPCA).

Bookings without holidays can be cancelled for free up to 72 hours ahead. Between 24 and 72 hours, half is charged and half becomes a credit. Under 24 hours, the full booking is charged. Yes. Premier Pet TLC requires a current rabies vaccine for pets in its care.
